Jeff Claassen On Ohdeardrea {GIVEAWAY}

Hello friends! Today is an extra special day, it's Marlowe's birthday! We had a fun little morning/afternoon together, with her dad. Later, he took her back to his moms, I went thrifting (my first time in for-ev-er... and I made out like a bandit.), cleaned the house a bit, and now I'm taking in this quiet time to let my mind settle and relax because this summer was crazy.... and starting next week: things are only going to get crazier. There are a TON of photos from last sunday, and a few cute ones from today. I can't wait to look at them (and upload them!)... but in the meantime, I have two very wonderful giveaways coming your way! Today's giveaway is brought to you by the very talented, Jeff Claassen!

Jeff Claassen is a dad, blogger, and super fun and talented artist. His sweet wife contacted me about sponsorship, and when I looked at his art, I said "Yes! That will fit right in!" Just like I told Coral, his wife, his work reminds me very much of Lebo or Sam Flores (the artist of my favorite *RIP* shower curtain, seen on my very old home tour). Much of Jeff's work is created with acrylic, sprint paint, or very beautifully done with black ink on wood. He's not much of a planner, just throws on paint, jumps right in, and creates. One of my very favorite approaches!:)

Here is a little bit about Jeff and his spectacular life:

"I live in San Luis Obispo CA. I opened an art gallery in 2004 so I could make and sell art full time. after 8 years it slowly transformed into running a retail shop and making less art, so i recently closed the doors to experiment with making art full time as originally intended all those years ago. In the past year since jumping on the iphone bandwagon I've developed an unhealthy obsession with iPhoneography, so I've become a total instagram and hipstamatic addict. I have a beautiful woman that puts up with all my "stuff" and we have two children aged 12 and 10 and also a baby that is 15 months old. When not at home with the fam I can usually be found riding my bike around town or drinking Thai iced tea at the local donut shop wearing headphones and doodling."
